Yesterday was the final Idol finale! Wow, I can't believe American Idol is actually over! Or is it?? Only time will tell, but anyway, here are my highlights from last night's spectacle.
- I loved the medleys. It was so cool to see so many superstars that got their start on the show back on the Idol stage.
- Kelly Clarkson's hit medley was awesome! So many of those songs were my jam when they came out. When her 'Breakaway' album first came out, it was one of the only albums I listened to!
- It was great to see Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban performing together. When they toured together in 2008 on the Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride tour, I got to see them as my 2nd concert ever at Madison Square Garden and it was one of the best concerts I've been to!
- Speaking of Queen Underwood (I can't be the only one right?), her performance of "Something in the water" was stunning! Among so many other reasons, American Idol will always hold a special lace in my heart for giving me my biggest musical inspiration and role model.
After all was said and done, Trent Harmon came out on top over La'Porsha Renae. Personally, I liked them both a lot, so I would've been happy with whoever won. Congrats to Trent!
